James Herron is tall, wiry ordinary American with an extraordinary voice. Herron was born in Cleveland Ohio in 1952 to an elementary school teacher mother and a father who was an aviator. James spent the majority of his childhood and teenage years in Maryland with his family where he graduated from Charles W. Woodward High School. He went on to attend Montgomery College.and during that time, began working at a small radio station. He remained focused on continuing his path to become a voice actor. James began his professional career as a voice actor 1973 and could be heard on the air at some of the nation's most exciting and successful radio and television stations.

The Story of Case Western Reserve University narration from James Herron recently won (among 14,000 entries) .a Telly Award. considered premier award for outstanding local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs and the finest video and film productions.
His work includes narrating feature and historical documentaries for Film and Public Television programming. James is also an accomplished musician with years of study in music and percussion as a drummer in a jazz quartet and was a member of the Montgomery County Orchestra. He continues his passion music today as a jazz drummer.
